Beyoncé the American born actress, recording star, fashion designer and fashion icon was born Beyoncé Giselle Knowles. She is a woman who has never been seen in public as less than perfect in the way she looks – her outfit, her hairstyle, her makeup, her shoes her accessories and every little item that she wears. She has evolved from a pop starlet to a fashion celebrity in her own right. Her fashion style is as her famous as her voice and she has never been inhibited and bashful about showing off her unique and very individual Beyoncé style.

When she started as a member of Destiny’s Child, an all-girl singing group from Houston, she, together with the other girls had Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother as their dresser and stylist. She once sported a sweet and sexy yellow dress matched with a flower in her hair. Now Beyoncé and her mother have their own fashion line under the name “House of Dereon”.

Some fans feel that Beyoncé presents herself more as a sex symbol rather than a performer but her critics maintain that Beyoncé has established her versatility in her acting career and her music as much as in her fashion style. Beyoncé who likes to dress sexy but carries herself as a lady distinguishes her outfits for the stage from her street and red carpet wear. A fashion designer commented that Beyoncé brings into play different styles and attempts to synchronize it with her music.
